| Snow, high winds and cold mark season's first wintry weather A low pressure system moving northeast from Colorado caused the NWS office in Aberdeen to place central South Dakota under a winter weather advisory Monday until about 6 p.m. By 4 p.m. the air temperature in Pierre had fallen to about 27, down from 41 degrees at the same time on Sunday.
